Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and experience requirements to be eligible for the role:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Organic Chemistry from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum three years of teaching and research experience related to the quality control of insecticides or anti-malarial drugs under any Central or State Government scheme.

Candidates with hands-on experience in chemical research, analysis of insecticides, and drug quality control will be given preference.


Key Responsibilities

The Research Officer (Chemistry) will be responsible for:

  1. Training & Research: Conducting research and training programs related to chemical procedures in the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP).
  2. Quality Control of Insecticides: Ensuring that insecticides used in disease control programs meet safety and efficacy standards.
  3. Anti-Malarial Drug Assessment: Assisting in the quality control of anti-malarial drugs to ensure effectiveness in combating vector-borne diseases.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborating with government agencies to implement quality assurance measures for insecticides and vector control products.
  5. Other Duties: Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the Director to support national health programs.
